Fishing Hunting - Map Northern Ontario Regions Serviced by West Caribou Air Service
Our float plan base is located at Savant Lake Ontario located in about the middle of the northern Ontario map to the right. From our base in Savant Lake Ontario we service the Wabakimi Wilderness Provincial Park, Pickle Lake and the Albany River and its tributaries. North to James Bay.

West Caribou Air Service provides access to our fishing and moose hunting lodges north of 50, to our outpost camps further north and to an unnumbered list of tent camps located on deserted beaches located in the north of Ontario between latitudes 50 to latitude 55. Flights to great fishing take from fifteen minutes to visit small and large nearby lakes with powerful fisheries to three hours or more to temporary tent camps located on deserted beaches on forgotten lakes and near unexplored speckled trout steams.
To achieve a true wilderness fishing experience and a thrill of a life time one needs to find access to virgin waters, forgotten lakes and streams where the fish simply have not seen a lure before! These locations exist for unparalleled walleye, pike fishing and lake trout fishing north of latitude 50 and speckled (brook) trout fishing north of 52.
In these latitudes we can take you lakes and streams we have discovered where one can catch hundreds of fish per day. Its hard to imagine how large the north is, north of latitude 50. Tens of thousands of small lakes and streams exist that have not been visited by anyone for years and they are located hundreds of miles from nowhere. We find them by simply landing our plane near a beach and go fishing to test the waters from the shore. Its not the quality of the fishing that should be questioned in these latitudes, the real question is how much stamina have you got? Inevitably ones arms give out before the end of the day from catching so many fish!
Moose Hunting: Much can be said about the moose hunting. We have outpost tent camps that provide a variety of hunting opportunities in regions so remote, and so populated with trophy moose that we have had a very high party hunt success rate.
