World Class Walleye and Northern Pike fishing
In the heart of Ontario's Great Canadian Shield country you will find Allanwater; a small, friendly, owner-operated fishing lodge.
We are one of the few access points to Canada's Wabikimi provincial park, a wilderness preserve larger in area than Wyoming's Yellowstone. The only lodge in a vast chain of lakes nestled at the confluence of the Brightsand and Allanwater rivers, Allanwater is 25 miles from the nearest road. We are easily accessible by floatplane.
You will have access to the vibrant, flowing waters of the Brightsand and Allanwater rivers (two prominent river systems). There are also glacial formed lakes that offer fabulous Walleye and Northern Pike fishing all season long. After you leave the camp, you are soon in unknown virgin waters teeming with fish. Adding to the thrill of catching that trophy fish is the fulfillment of the desire many share for primitive areas and real bush country.
In the early 1900s, the Hudson's Bay Company built a trading post at the present day location of Allanwater Bridge Lodge. Today you will find Allanwater has been transformed to a friendly, owner-operated lodge. Its log cabins and buildings, coupled with a rustic atmosphere are reminiscent of a lodge one may have experienced in the 1940s.
We look forward to providing you with the opportunity for an unbeatable wilderness fishing vacation.
fishing AT ALLANWATER
We can safely say that Walleye and Northern Pike fishing at Allanwater is hard to beat. Because of the two river systems there is more flowing water here than you will find anywhere in this part of Ontario.
Allanwater is surrounded by unknown virgin waters teeming with fish. So adding to the thrill of catching that trophy fish is the fulfillment of the desire many share for primitive areas and real bush country.
Healthy flowing waters and structure, such as we have at Allanwater, supply much of the needed nutrients that provide ideal habitat and excellent spawning ground for Walleye. This goes a long way toward keeping Allanwater a top producer of Walleye and Northern Pike.
Walleye commonly range from 1½ - 6 pounds with an occasional trophy size of 8 - 12½ pounds! We have recorded over 30 Walleye in the 5+ pound range per season for the last 10 years. Allanwater and the Brightsand River systems produce trophy Walleye and Northern consistently!
Generally, 10% of most lakes are productive. We believe that 40% of our waters are productive due to the many islands, reefs and geological formations. Lake Kawaweogama has a dotted esker which runs its entire length. We average about 40 Northern Pike in the 14 - 24 pound range each season! The record Pike during our 22 years is 36 pounds, with a record walleye at 12½ pounds.

Allanwater Outposts also Available
At Allanwater and our outposts, we encourage and highly recommend responsible catch and release fishing in the interest or preserving this valuable resource for future generations. Certainly, the finest tasting Walleye are 1½ - 2 pounds.

THE OUTPOSTS
Allanwater Bridge Lodge has two fully equipped outpost cabins. The first is twenty miles south on Lake Sesaganaga and the second is forty miles north on Burntrock Lake, on the beautiful Palisades River chain.
Needless to say, Walleye and Northern Pike fishing is excellent at both locations though our Burntrock location is primarily a Walleye lake.
As an added bonus, Lake Sesaganaga outpost is located in a good lake Trout area due to its vast size and depths. Trout fishing is best from May 15 until mid-June and then again after mid-September. A vacation at either one of our outpost camps is a trip that will be long remembered.
To save time and money, you can take a floatplane directly from Savant Lake to the outposts. All necessary arrangements can be made with West Caribou Air.
